Jill F. Chambers, MD, PC

Dr. Chambers provides well woman exams, contraceptive management, and evaluation and treatment of gynecologic disorders. She has special interests in the treatment of menopausal symptoms and hormone replacement therapy, endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome. She also does weight management and smoking cessation counseling.

Dr. Chambers also has a keen interest in the diagnosis of hereditary cancer syndromes such as Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndrome in patients who have family histories with clusters of breast, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers and Lynch Syndrome in patients who have family histories with clusters of uterine, colorectal, ovarian, small bowel, kidney, brain and other cancers. We ask for an updated family history at each visit, and it helps if you know the age at which your relative was diagnosed with cancer.

She performs minimally invasive outpatient surgery such as hysteroscopy, resectoscopic excision, and ablation for the evaluation and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, polyps, and submucosal fibroids. She performs office colposcopy and biopsies to evaluate abnormal Pap smears, and can perform cryocautery in the office, or LEEP procedures as an outpatient to treat dysplasia of the cervix (CIN).

She serves as a proctor training family health and women's health nurse practitioners, and has served as an associate clinical professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt.
